Fire door monitor

Product Detail

To prevent the spread of fire within buildings, necessary fire separation measures must be implemented. Fire-resistant barriers such as fire doors and fire shutters can meet requirements for fire resistance stability, integrity, and thermal insulation for a specified duration, dividing the building space into multiple fire compartments. This ensures that if a fire occurs in any compartment, its spread cannot extend outward within a predetermined timeframe, thereby effectively controlling the fire and creating favorable conditions for firefighting operations.

Although fire doors and protective roller shutters are widely used in building fire protection design, practical applications often suffer from issues such as improper design, inappropriate selection of models, and non-standard installation. Common problems include the substitution of normally open fire doors with normally closed ones, and fire doors being replaced by fire roller shutters. Particularly in high-rise buildings and large public gathering venues, the use of fire doors frequently conflicts with the venue’s operational requirements. These issues prevent fire doors from functioning effectively. Consequently, the newly issued “Code for Design of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems” GB 50116-2013 establishes provisions for effective monitoring of fire doors.

The GT-XF-FHM fire door monitoring system is a next-generation product meticulously developed by our company in accordance with the national standard GB 29364-2012, involving the expertise of numerous specialists. It offers advantages such as low cost, high performance, and stable reliability. The system employs an object-oriented programming design philosophy, integrates various advanced software and hardware technologies, fully complies with all performance requirements specified by national standards, operates stably and reliably, and features excellent scalability and maintainability.

The fire door monitor, combined with multiple monitoring modules, forms a high-capacity fire door monitoring system suitable for widespread deployment in densely populated environments, including residential areas, factories, schools, hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, theaters, exhibition halls, and office buildings.

In the event of a fire, the system automatically closes the door upon receiving a fire linkage signal. A manual button is also provided to close the door while triggering an audible and visual alarm. The fire door monitoring system consists of a fire door monitor, area units, a bus isolator, a monitoring module, an electric door closer, a door magnetic switch, and other components, and feeds signals back to the fire control center.

Characteristics

Networked Monitoring

Interconnects the monitoring points of each fire door into independent subsystems for 24/7 real-time automatic inspection and monitoring.

Centralized Display

The LCD monitors installed in the fire control room display the status of all fire doors in text format, ensuring clear and easy-to-read information.

Alarm Fault Management

Issues alerts for abnormal statuses of fire doors, such as normally open doors in the closed position or normally closed doors in the open position, prompting manual intervention to eliminate potential faults promptly. It also provides functions such as incident recording, printing, and querying.

Remote Control

Parameter settings for all fire doors’ on-site control devices and area sub-units can be easily performed via the monitors in the fire control room.

Fire Linkage

Supports linkage with the fire alarm control panel, enabling the automatic closure of fire doors by zone.
