Common problems include the substitution of normally open fire doors with normally closed ones, and fire doors being replaced by fire roller shutters. Consequently, the newly issued “Code for Design of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems” GB 50116-2013 establishes provisions for effective monitoring of fire doors.
